Ingress

회사에서 기존 서버 서비스 앞단에 쓰던 Proxy를 ingress로 교체하게 된 이유
1. front의 경우 app 재배포시 proxy도 매번 삭제했다가 재생성 해야하는 번거로움

2. 이로 인해 jenkin에서 자동화시 번거로움 등

3. string 주소로 하면 관리가 편하다

 

 

기존에 proxy 아래에 있던 app들이 7개나 되는데 각각 다 다른 설정을 해줘야 해서 번거롭다.

ingress에 대해 간단하게 표현하자면 아래와 같이 7계층 string 주소로 서비스를 포워딩해줘서 알맞은 app으로 통신하도록 해주는 LB다.



ingress는 크게 두종류가 있는데, nginx가 정보가 더 많아서 NGINX Ingress Controller 로 선택했다.

(하지만 나중에 결국 세번째 종류인 Traefik도 맛보게 됐는데 이게 진짜 작동하게 만드는게 지옥이었다)

 

 

 

 

1. 설치

설치는뭐, 공식문서든 helm 배포든 그때그때 최신버전 깔면 될것 같다.

 

필자는 아래에서 yaml을 다운받는 식으로 올렸다.

왜 yaml 방식을 택했냐면 우리 회사 개발서버가 single-node k8s 환경인데다가 인증서도 넣어야하기때문에
뭘 올리려거든 튜닝을 해야만 하기 때문이다. (그래서 helm을 써도 바로 안된다....)
아래는 위의 원본이 아니고 블로그 저장용 수정본이다.

사실 6개월 전에 작성한거라서 뭐가 다른지 기억이 안난다.
diff로 봤을땐 아래는1.6.4버전이고 위는 최신버전.

이제 ingress는 설치 됐고, 보조하는 LB를 설치해줘야 한다.
다른 설치 블로그 글들 보면 따로 LB 설치 안하고도 인그레스만 깔면 다 돌아가는것처럼 돼있는데,
사실 그건 클라우드 환경에 설치했기 때문에 되는 것이다.
클라우드 업체들이 앞단에 LB 기능을 기본 제공해주기 때문이다.
기본 LB가 없는 k8s 온프레미스 서버에선 nodeport를 통하지 않고선 외부와 통신불가하다.

보통 오픈소스인 MetalLB를 같이 사용하는 듯 하다.

metallb로 구성 시 복제된 (replicas) 여러 ingress controller들이 external ip를 갖고 하나의 controller가 요청을 전담하여 수신을 분기하게된다. (이 구성의 한계점은 병목이 있다는 것이지만.. 논외..)

 

metalLB 배포 글은 이 블로그 초창기 글에 있다... 학원생일 시절 ㅎ글이라 난잡하지만 넘어가겠다.

아래 공식 설치 문서도 있다.

물론 yaml로 다운받은 뒤에 서버에 맞게 튜닝해 쓰고있다.

 

 

※ 중요한 점

메인 설치를 진행한 뒤 External IP Pool을 담을 configmap을 생성해줘야 한다. IP범위는 환경에 맞게 바꾼다.

->> 여기까지는 당시 대부분의 최신 블로그가 같은 의견이어서 나도 그래야 하는줄 알았으나,

아무리 어느 블로그들을 따라서 configmap을 올려도 작동하지가 않는 것이다;;

고생 끝에 알아낸 진실이 불과 몇개월 전에 config 양식이 바뀌었다는 것이다;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;

 

심지어 kind도 configmap이 아니다..

이 일 한지 얼마 안됐지만 블로그 참고는 힌트가 크게 될때가 있고 쪽박찰때가 있는 듯 하다.
